SA Virtual Power Plant

Planum was engaged by Tesla Motors (“Tesla”) to lead the capital raising and commercial structuring for the large-scale SA Virtual Power Plant (“SA VPP”).

The first of its kind in Australia, the Project uses a combination of onsite PV, storage, and innovative software to improve the stability of South Australia’s power grid, while providing reliable low-cost power to thousands of South Australian housing customers.

Planum led the negotiation and execution of a full capital solution including senior secured debt, subordinated debt, equity, and government funding.
